What an exciting new season for CMP!

Two world premieres (two commissioned by CMP) from Bruce Broughton and Maria Newman will add spice to our 15th anniversary season. And a “15th Anniversary Suite” will feature short compositions written by five well-known local composers to help the series celebrate the occasion and include Adrienne Albert, Jane Brockman, Peter Golub, Byron Adams and Gernot Wolfgang. As with the Broughton premiere, the suite will be performed by Greenberg and Stevens.

Violinist Ida Levin and cellist John Walz launch our season on October 18th with the familiar voice of KUSC’s Alan Chapman describing the action. Following them will be the famous Lyris String Quartet; violinist Robert Gupta and cellist David Garrett from the LA Phil; plus, our most famous LA wind players: saxophonist Doug Masek, oboist Jonathan Davis, clarinetist Michele Zukovsky, bassoonist Judith Farmer and hornist Steve Becknell. We promise you will love every concert.
