Join us on Wednesday, September 20, at 8:00 pm in the sanctuary of St. Matthew’s Parish for the first concert of Chamber Music Palisades’ 27th season. This concert could easily be called Danza! This exciting program includes a tango by Argentinian Piazzolla, danzas by Ginastera (also from Argentina), Fantasia by Italian Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Tarantelle by French composer Saint-Saens, and other pieces featuring flute, clarinet, guitar, and piano.
Enjoy the sounds of our extraordinary performers: Kenton Youngstrom, guitar professor at the Colburn School, Pierre Long-Tao Tang, conductor and pianist at Pepperdine University, Michele Zukovsky, former principal clarinet with Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, and Susan Greenberg, former flutist Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, principal flute at Santa Monica Symphony, and President and Artistic Director of Chamber Music Palisades. Alan Chapman, KUSC host and long-time Chamber Music Palisades associate, will provide his informative in-person program notes.
